TAF FLIX PRODUCER RIGHTS AND CONTENT OWNERSHIP POLICY
Purpose of This Policy
Taf Flix was created to solve a major problem in the African and Cameroonian film industry. Producers create content, but they lose control, income, and audience once their films leave their hands. Taf Flix exists to change this permanently.
This policy explains how Taf Flix protects producers’ ownership, revenue, visibility, and long-term earning power while giving audiences legal and affordable access to content.
Every producer on Taf Flix remains the true owner of their work. Taf Flix only provides the digital infrastructure to distribute, sell, and monetize that content globally.
Ownership of Films and Content
All films, series, documentaries, short films, trailers, promotional materials, and any creative works uploaded to Taf Flix by a producer remain the full legal property of that producer or their production company.
Taf Flix does not claim ownership, copyright, intellectual property, or distribution rights over any producer content.
The producer simply grants Taf Flix a non-exclusive license to host, stream, sell, and distribute the content on the Taf Flix platform for as long as the producer chooses to keep it active on the platform.
The producer may remove their content after the agreed-upon time or renew their contract with Taf Flix, subject to ongoing subscriptions, rental periods, or contractual obligations with viewers.
Producer Control Over Pricing and Monetization
In the Taf Flix producer driven model, producers control how their content earns money.
Producers are able to choose:
• The price of a movie rental.
• The price of a movie purchase.
• Whether a film is free, paid, or premium.
• Whether a film is available for subscription viewing.
• Whether fans must follow the producer to access certain content.
Taf Flix provides the tools. The producer decides the business model.
This ensures that no producer is forced into a one-price-fits-all system that undervalues their work.
Revenue Sharing Model
Taf Flix operates on a transparent revenue sharing model.
For every paid transaction made on Taf Flix, such as
• Movie rentals.
• Movie purchases.
• Subscriptions to a producer.
• Tips and fan contributions.
• Pay-per-view events.
Taf Flix takes a platform service commission of 30 percent.
The remaining 70 percent goes directly to the producer.
This commission covers:
• Payment processing.
• Video hosting and streaming.
• Platform development.
• Customer support.
• Marketing and platform growth.
Producers are paid their share based on clearly recorded transactions inside their dashboard.
Producer Visibility and Discovery Rights
Taf Flix does not hide or bury producers behind the platform brand.
Each producer has:
• A public profile.
• Their own content library.
• Their own followers.
• Their own fan base.
• Their own revenue streams.
Fans can follow producers directly, receive notifications of new releases, subscribe to their work, and support them financially.
This ensures producers build their own audience and brand, not just Taf Flix’s brand.
Protection Against Piracy and Unauthorized Use
Taf Flix actively protects producer content using:
• Secure streaming technology.
• Encrypted downloads.
• Controlled access systems.
• Anti-piracy measures.
No user is allowed to download, screen record, redistribute, resell, or share Taf Flix content outside the platform.
Any violation leads to permanent account suspension and possible legal action.
Producers can report piracy, and Taf Flix will act immediately.
Content Removal and Exit Rights
Producers may remove their films from Taf Flix at any time.
However, if a viewer has already:
• Rented a movie.
• Purchased a movie.
• Subscribed to a producer.
They must be allowed to complete their paid access period.
After this, the content can be fully removed from public access.
This protects both producer rights and customer trust.
Long Term Producer Independence
Taf Flix is not designed to trap producers.
Producers are free to:
• Sell their films elsewhere.
• Screen them in cinemas.
• Upload them to other platforms.
• Distribute them internationally.
Taf Flix does not require exclusivity unless both parties agree separately.
The platform exists to increase producer income, not restrict their career.
Why This Model Exists
The Taf Flix producer-driven model ensures that:
• Producers make money directly from fans.
• Fans support creators, not middlemen.
• African stories remain owned by Africans.
• Content creators build long-term digital assets.
Taf Flix is not just a streaming site. It is a producer economy.
